Ah yes, mentioned before so apologies for forgetting. I do however remember the last time we had some 'unexplained' shareprice weakness that all the conspiracists came out saying it was BP manipulating the price lower to buy shares. The last T20 (in April, after the initial bout of conspiracies) has had little change in number except for HSBC noms which added about 10% over the preceding 12 months.... The chance of that being 1 or more BPs alone?? I guess it's possible. But if it wasn't true the first time.....
The human mind is conditioned towards conspiracy but conspiracy doesn't equal truth. If an insto or entity wants to get a significant piece of a company they tend to have to pay up, even if using algos to drive a 'best price' scenario for themselves.
