2) How do you know that the news was what caused the SP to be trashed?

I have seen an awful lot of speculation on here about what has caused the recent share price weakness, from Little T saying we are being softened up for a takeover to others blaming shorts, the news, Acadia's performance and the juxtaposition of Mercury and Venus descending. Does anyone actually know? The best source of who is doing all the selling and buying would be the company, which I assume has access to the share registry. But not a dicky bird. I do sense a real complacency from management, or at least condescension to shareholders. It is all very well to sit back and say "trust me, I know what I'm doing" but the absence of communication with shareholders, either formal or informal, in the face of a SP that doesn't reflect the true value of the company, is not what I would have expected.
