It depends which way you look at it.
There were certain people ramping NEU based on the fact that it was entering the ASX 200 and that funds would have to buy.
You dont now see those same people suggesting that if NEU leaves the 200 that the funds will have to sell.
Funny that.
As has been said. When you enter the ASX funds do buy, but they also hedge by shorting.
You might actually find that they'll close those shorts if we drop out of the 200.
So that could provide a lift. Lets see.
