ZIP comes to mind. It gets shorted @$13 and hits 30c.

Nope, the shorters won't care if it jumps 50% in one day from 30c. They are sitting on massive gains.
Plenty of time to jump out.
It's the same here. If they only shorted at $20 I'm sure they'd be fine with getting out at $16 if an uptrend began.
