I have never taken the same amount of interest in trade numbers previously but looking at same has revealed much more than looking at average trade sizes and volumes alone.It currently is my view that that there has been a consistent and sustained attempt to force the share price down using a 2 pronged approach- using algos and differing trade sizes to achieve this end.The trade sizes early in the day are usually larger in the morning to soak up any potential buyers followed by smaller trade sizes later in the day to be able to play with the share price.The aftermarket trading activity also when high usually confirms another area of action.
There are too many possible scenarios as to why this trading activity is occurring and all the above is just my view.
