Thanks @hottod - I am somewhat on the fence.

I don't think Neuren is telling porkies and agree that the adviser was not "defensive".

I do think they were telling the truth when they said they are a corporate/strategic adviser but my gut tells me that reports around multiple interested parties and data rooms must come from somewhere.

Are the reports totally accurate - possibly not - but I get the feeling that there was interest expressed and possibly some parties got to take a good look at us.

I have thought about this for some time and wondered what it means for us. All speculation of course but I tend to think that KJT might be right when he says that this all might be wrapped up by Xmas. Its possible that interested parties got an opportunity to take a look at 2591 in detail and once some boxes were checked (multiple successful P2 trials, FDA guidance on the parameters for P3 trial, additional indications revealed etc), then perhaps the bidding would begin.

Obviously this is very speculative and I am making circumstances fit my thesis and I am aware of that, but it would make sense if you were a potential suitor and were waiting for the boxes to be checked, that you worked to lower the SP and get your hands on a decent holding, such that if you are not the successful bidder, you could still benefit from any possible TO premium. It would make sense to do that if you were a potential suitor, as you would already know what the potential profit might be, given you would know the minimum TO price is, based on your own internal valuations and what you are prepared to pay.

If you are prepared to pay $50 per share and can pick up a truckload for sub $15, its a no brainer.
