I've been perusing the patents to see which applications would be due for for patent allowance. If we consider it takes roughly 2 years on average for a patent to be awarded, going back to 2022 and early 2023 there were patents already granted for the US jurisdiction (without getting into details, just that the important patents have been awarded except for one US application where the paper trail has gone cold). There was a number of patent applications filed this year (Compositions of trofinetide, Treatments of Prader Willi syndrome, and Process for preparing bicyclic glycine proline compounds/monocyclic glycine proline intermediate thereof) but they wouldn't be due for a potential patent allowance for another year or so.

In some cases a patent is granted relatively quickly but this generally due to the applicant already holding similar patents to the one being applied for. One of the patents I looked at was awarded in 14 months approx (compositions of trofinetide part 3 for example) of which several patents in that patent family had already been granted.

I haven't been granular in my research, and in some cases the paper trail is cold or inaccessible for one reason or another. So I'm none the wiser about which patents Neuren is holding out for that are due to be granted in the next 6 months or so. Certainly the applications lodged this year give no clue as to which specific indications are being targeted, perhaps some of the inaccessible documents in other patent applications from the past 18 month - 2 years is inaccessible for a reason (trade secrets and the like). Or perhaps an application is being prepared for submission that will outline specific indications, once that is submitted it gives Neuren some protection in that they have lodged something before anyone else and cannot be challenged until it is utterly refused by the patent examiner.
