Hi @Anydaynow I know a little bit, but I am far from an expert. I worked at a full service broker (retail and insto) for a number of years but I was more involved in financial analysis and software which meant I needed to get some understanding of the trading systems, but I wasn't doing that trading myself.
To answer your question I don't believe there is any way to know the answer of that question without having inside access to a particular broker's ordering system to correlate the trades places to account numbers, to benefical owners. It isn't uncommon for groups of people, or businesses to be on multiple accounts too.
What I do know is what a research team says at a firm doesn't have that much of an impact on the trade flow because ultimately they are executing client orders (whether a person or software does it) and whether the client is a real person, group or people, or it's something like a a fund/index where the instructions are more mathematic.
