I get the repositions of portfolios based on ASX 200 holding advice as it’s rebalanced - ie the third Friday of March June September and December, but rebalancing outside these time is rubbish.
Why also would you short or sell based on positive news that could send the price higher. Maximize your short downside.
What we are seeing is capping in my view, and it’s been happening for a while now.
