Todays trading stats compared to yesterday reveal a significant rebound in positive sentiment:
*Volume is up 65.4% [257K shares]
*Value is up 70.6% [$3756K]
*Trades are up 24.5%
* Average trade size for the day was 109 shares @ $1517 per trade [yesterday was $1108 ] Early trades were running at 135 shares per trade
*Trades and Volume processed after 3PM represented slightly less than 20% of the days activity which is low by normal standards and especially a Friday
*At one stage during the morning trades were running at 1460 per hour for about 2 hours. The remining 4 hours of activity produced only another 3000 odd trades in total clearly indicating an early urgency to acquire shares.
This sudden spurt in activity today together with the 2 prior exceptionally weak days of trading appear to indicate that some positive information has been identified prior to market release.
