Common belief around lse share forums is that if you set a sell order on your stocks even at a ridiculous value say $100 for NEU then your shares are unable to be lent out for shorting as they are subject to a live order.
I don’t know if it holds any truth but I always do this with shares I own-it can’t hurt.
