I really want to understand this better.
So I’ll paint a scenario…
Broker goes to shareowner and says, hey I want to borrow your shares to lend them to a short seller, but you’ll get a fee.
Shareowner says ok, and lends them out to sell, meanwhile they themselves can’t then sell them, because they’ve meant them, until they’re returned.
Si the owner of the share is happy to make some fee knowing the shares will be sold and bought back later..
What kind of fees are charged?
