I believe Jon Pilcher said in an interview the safety aspect was open for the 2591 trial but the efficacy was not. This is due to maintaining the integrity of the trial as it progressed since open talk of success or otherwise could have undue influence on all those involved.
This might help with the future debate of 2591 before December.
