To be honest, I am more and more thinking about the ethical situation Neuren finds itself in. I am in no doubt that NNZ- 2591 will be found to be efficacious in multiple indications. There then emerges a tension between what is good for business versus what is good for society and many sufferers of multiple debilitating conditions. In the second scenario Neuren would be considering the fastest way to get NNZ-2591 to market to the most. Of course both scenarios are not mutually exclusive, but as a doctor working an an area with limited treatments, the second scenario trumps my interest in the first. Neuren have definitely indicated their awareness of unmet need and seem a very ethics driven company. It's a nuance that will be interesting to follow over the next few months!
