@geffa9. Did it make sense to you when 7 weeks before the outstanding PMS results the share price was driven down to nearly $10 on minimal volume? In an open label study where we now know 15-16 of 18 patients showed improvement, half of these "much improved" and 2 "very much improved". Did it make sense to you when the day before the trading halt was announced the share price rose 7% with a series of relatively high volume late trades, some even after market?
I had the pleasure of attending a Christmas party in Oz this week with one of the investigators at one of the trial sites for the Angelman study. After some initial pleasantries can you guess where I steered the conversation. Let me be clear I am in no way suggesting NEU management have at any stage done anything remotely untoward nor that there has ever been a formal leak of information or similar. However as has been discussed here before it is an unusual situation to have 4 open label trials read out in a row with massive ramifications for this company... you can't tell me no one close to the trial patients wouldn't notice that something is going on. Be it a caregiver, a teacher, a trial investigator a friend or relative whoever. These people in turn are not kept in a vault for the duration of the trial IMO it is completely naive to think otherwise. For what it is worth I failed to gather any information that I would interpret as of significant interest but my point stands.
Hottod raised the on the surface simple but very clever question during the PMS countdown of what a positive result would look like. I think we can all agree the results were extraordinarily positive, exceeding even NEU management's expectations. Make your own mind up about the chance of NNZ2591 now making its way through phase 3 and FDA approval for PMS using the trofinetide experience as a guide but IMO it is as close to a guarantee as you could ask for. And as has been pointed out here NEU could fund the entire process and in 3-4 years time have 100% of a drug about to start what Daybue has just done in the US (less marketing and development costs). IMO you could not possibly value NEU under 3 figures if these circumstances conspired. Then there are the other 3 initial indications which are now significantly derisked which may go on to lead to similar scenarios plus the blue sky potential of further more common/mainstream indications which have begun to be discussed here.
IMHO the big sharks are becoming aware of all of this without any shadow of a doubt and will be making an appropriate plan part of which will be accumulation of shares via any method. I am fully expecting some "unusual" trading in the short term as a result. As always all completely my opinion obviously.
