Well I personally don't think a hostile bid is coming. And it's not emotional attachment it's called trusting that management is indeed committed to maximising shareholder returns.
Do you have an example of a hostile bid that has occurred for a company trading at its highs? They're rare in the best of times, especially though when the company has been performing so strongly.
