Everyone seems to be focusing on their own acceptable price as being the ‘right’ one. That’s not the way things work in these circumstances though.
Let’s face it some will be over the moon at $50 while others wouldn’t be happy even at $300. It’s a broad church at Neuren to be sure.
What I am certain of is that Jon will secure the best possible price at the right time to present to shareholders for their consideration. 2024 (ie now) will clearly be the year, but at what time point of our pending P2 readouts, well who knows? It will clearly depend on the voracity and compelling nature of the offer(s) put to us as they arrive.
And I'd be flabbergasted if some haven't been fielded already given Jefferies involvement. Not compelling enough yet to warrant making a board recommendation would be my take.
The prospect of a hostile takeover has been raised but is incredibly unlikely imho. Any whiff of a Big Fish trying to garner enough shares to make such a play would see the SP skyrocket exponentially. Too many big holders and diamond hands on hand here with this great stock..
