You make a fair point Tony, the folks with large holdings will find it much easier to walk away at lower prices as opposed to those with small holdings waiting for a bigger payout. Hell, even I can't wait till this is over because the suspense is killing me yet my holding is modest!

But NEU is a rare beast on the ASX, it has an asset that would in all likelyhood dwarf almost any asset borne of an Australian pharmaceutical company in terms of potential revenues. The attraction of this asset, where it could go on to treat four neurodevelopment disorders each of which are potentially highly profitable let alone further disorders down the line to autism, is so powerful because it is a once in a generation or multigenerational discovery. Something like this doesn't come along that often on the ASX, its a clear differentiator between NEU and its Aussie peers.

Which is why I think Jon will be pushing for a price that will satisfy some of the more exuberant prognostications of late ($80+). A lower offer could come in (ie $40 or below), but he/the board won't recommend it in my belief. I understand, it's up to the shareholders. But I would hazard a guess that most shareholders will trust him on that advice and wait a little longer the right price.
