Thx I’ve found that site. Very helpful. I think it’s 183 overseas to get disentangled from the ATO. It’s easy to maintain Australian Citizenship. It’s for taxation that a taxpayer must show they’ve actually moved and living in a new country.

I’m not sure where I’m going as yet. I a just losing interest in living in Australia. Beautiful country , nice friendly people governed by idiots. I’ve had enough of the regulations , red tape, taxation at nose bleed levels and going to rise a lot higher.
Possibilities at this stage are Bali, Turkey, Mallorca, Greek islands. Or a nomadic mixture. Weather dependent!
I’ll certainly submit my plans for approval before implementing them.
The biggest issue is selling assets , paying tax and reinvesting. About the only tax effective strategy left is negative gearing but that could well disappear and that also requires carrying substantial debt which I’m not interested in.
