The mechanism from an ASX perspective is Trading Halt, however I think people here are talking more about how that materialises.
IMO there are only one of two possible scenarios:
1) ANN is in, Trading Halt issued, however it is only for a few hours for the market to digest the info then trading continues; or
2) ANN is in, Trading Halt issued, and this will be in place for a few days.
IMO it is likely to be scenario (1) if the results are well understood and no ambiguity - scenario (2) would be in case the results need further analysis and they need more time to digest whilst NEU have the results in their hands (but still ANN in order to meet their ASX obligations).
