A concerted effort to surpress the share price ahead of first assays.
Someone on here mentioned WC8 being shorted on Thursday so I looked into it and now strongly agree.
Thursday 7th September there were 679,771 shares shorted. As we know we closed down 14.63% as an unusually very red amongst what has otherwise been very strong upwards trend.
When comparing this to previous shorting activity this appears to have been a considerable spike in shorting volume.
Wednesday 6th September there were 232,251 shares shorted, noting we also closed down with 7.8% red for the day
Records are not available yet for last week but zero shorts appear on Friday 1st September, and we soared higher last week so assume not much shorting activity occurred. Will review this once available, but going back before then -
On Thursday 31st August there were 2,500 shorts, closing up 1.37%Wednesday 30th August there were 117,625, closing down 7.59%
Prior to that, there is NOT ONE short registered for the entire month of August and most of July, with the last short record being 10th July as below.
10th of July just happens to have been our second worse red day aside from yesterday.
I haven't gone back further yet.
