Best to speak to a good accountant and when you find one stick with them as you will then be able to lodge your returns by March 31st the following year. In general your capital gains reduce by 50% each year of holding but there are a number of offsets and deductions that a good accountant will be able to advise you of along with the pro's and con's about personal versus business versus smsf trading.
