If I held shares (and not just options), I'd definitely be in. The discounted rate is a bitter pill, but agreed - no free options and the fact that management appear to be willing to back this up with big dollars is a big tick of approval no matter what way you look at it.
I am in no way financial enough to kick in the $20K region, but after the announcement of the price, the options dived so I have picked up a few more of them 'on the cheap'.
Who knows, after all these years - PAA might just have found it's market (MND) after so many false starts on other avenues.
