I was part of an ANZ SPP a few years back - I don't recall the scale of the raising, but I think the max purchase was $7,000 per holder.

They ended up being massively oversubscribed BUT ANZ was happy to INCREASE the raised funds, so everyone got the amount the wanted.

I haven't read the SPP in anywhere near enough detail to say if it is even stated in their terms (and I don't recall if ANZ stated it either) - but if QBE feel like carrying some extra cash, this is an easy way to do it while 'rewarding' retailers. In that case, everyone had to front up the full amount - which when I think about it would be quiet an administrative nightmare if you have to return part of a shareholders SPP funds.
