I have a feeling that management would like to see the SP stay in this 2.5 to 2.9 cents range until the SPP applications are due ... If it drops back sharply again, prospective applicants may get worried and not apply ... But if it were to get above 3c and higher, they may not invest too much because they wouldn't get as many shares for their money.
My guess is that this is around the area where management expect to make the most from the SPP, while also keeping options conversion prospects alive ... I'm not saying that they are somehow involved in propping up the buy side around 2.6c or capping the sell side at 3.0c ... but it certainly would seem to be aiding their cause.
