Your right on the pricing of the SPP. No one knows where the share price will be in one month or one year from now.
As a shareholder, or not in your case, you need to look at fundamental value and the opportunity costs of investing elsewhere. At around $24 ( where I think the SPP price will be) it yields over 6.5% in dividends and, in my view, the share price is very attractive and some 15% lower than a month ago.
Unless something dramatic happens next week, I will seek my full entitlement at these prices. WBC will recover and learn from its mistakes, like CBA
