    This is just being curious now - and nothing about the underlying issue.

    $24 will only be attractive if:
    1) There is no further fallout that could push the SP closer to $20 (which has to be the lowest you'd think it could get to).
    2) That dividends can be maintained close to where they are now.

    I'd humbly suggest that dividend would suffer a temporary reduction (maybe 50% for 12 months - the fine, whatever it is, is a one off hit after all). Plus, as some posters have already mentioned, the damage done the banks reputation will have some ongoing negative effect. Though, knowing what investors are like, most of that would go in 5 years.

    $20 may make it attractive but I think $24 might be somewhat optimistic at least in the medium term.
