Nice considered reply - and I guess the bottom line is that none of us really know - and we may not even get a better idea when any sanctions get handed down.
It is the old Chinese curse - "may you live in interesting times". Think we are experiencing that now.
I sold 99% of the bank shares I was holding - luckily, most before the drop and the rest pretty early on so made a small capital gain and, of course, been picking up dividends for the last 6 years. I sold for a couple of reasons - and obviously the main one being that I could see pretty sustained SP devaluations. These may be close to the a bottom level now BUT I think there maybe a bit more SP pain left to come.
Anyway, good luck. Best result will be a quick resolution so the scars can start to heal.
