A Share Purchase Plan is similar to the IPO when a company first lists, the difference being that you usually need to be an existing shareholder to be in the SPP.
It is a way the company can raise more money for exploration without taking out bank finance. The company creates more shares (hence diluting existing shares) and sell them off through the SPP.
