being a bit of a cynic, but watso wonders if that sudden buying was in some way related persona, who are "in with the company", just to try and get the share purchase plan over the line.

earlier company reports about the spp, mention that "directors reserve the right to close the issue early" mmm maybe the reason that is has not been closed early is because the acceptances are not all that great. an associated company , ero, was happy that they got about 90% acceptances (did mxr take up their entitlement of $15,000 worth ?????). with ero, out of about 2000 shareholders, and if only holders took up the minimum amount, then it would only have needed 1000 shareholders to take up the minimum amount - but of course some holders took up higher entitlements - so it could be that only about 600 holders took up the offer..... mxr will be in the same boat

the company should give the results of the spp within a week

anything can happen with these low priced speccies, before they eventually fall in a hole

gosh - mxr were only after $1.5m so it should not be all that hard a target
