long qualifying answer - below; Can't say the books alone have made me any money. I guess some can make money trading, easier than me, with or without books. But, initially they gave me guidance on what to do and what not to do and lots on the pitfalls/traps that traders easily fall into. Would you start any venture without lots of research and study?
After ~10 years of trading, I've made and lost quite a bit (first loss was $100k during the tech wreck - 2001). So it was back to the drawing board and slowly but surely recouped it all during bull mkt. Then things got tough agn and back to the books. Trading is always a challenge, but am now a consistently profitable trader with LT holds, ST holds and DTing.
Am retired now and trade for enjoyment and profit, don't rely solely on trading profits to live (have other investments). But now have confidence to know I can make money in any mkt condition, still heaps of reading and research and always learning something new and often refer back to those books already mentioned.
