    Hi gravelman,

I read a few books about trading when I first started investing but as soon as their so called 'advice' resulted in my loss, then I knew that I had to change tack.

If I could only chose one book/s, then I would choose the textbooks used in a Masters of Accounting - any uni - as they are reasonably focused and provide an insight into the way that the financial reports are produced and provide a background to the information that a company disseminates to shareholders.

I do not really use technical analysis much. However, I developed my 'feel' for charts with this website -

    http://andy-net.jp/sec/chartre/

I do not know if there is similar game in English - basically it sources the charts from shares from Tokyo exchange - no speccies to seen unfortunately.

In the end - when the prices go down I accumulate more knowledge and when they go up I accumulate money. Ideally, it is a win-win.
