    Fair point Keating although for me pushing kids into superannuation or the stockmarket etc is far too dangerous and subjective. Equipping them withy the skills to choose the best option available based on their personal circumstances yes - simple mathematics & economics is not enough though. Money management & decision making needs to be given more space but anything more is the equiv. of the canteen being sponsored by Mcdonalds IMO.

    Many believe fixed interest, property & superannuation is not a gamble - but it is, along with the stockmarket. Not many would agree that superannuation funds have performed very well over the last ten years compared to our indices.

    Timing is everything. Super can be a shocking investment if one retires during a bust.
