Question. With the hft Robots that sit right next to the asx computer would they be able to buy shares a couple of milliseconds as soon as say a trading halt was going to be put in place? Or would they be able to buy a couple of milliseconds after the company comes out with a Price Sensitive statement to the market and in doing so, beat the rest of the market to the call?
If that is the case would that be tantamount to insider trading being that the news is released a few moments later to the general markets?
