Where I lived in Sydney, it was getting popular for kids to have pet snakes. One teen bought another teen's snake after he got bored with it. So enter the mother and exit the mother with bags packed waiting for a taxi. She said I won't be back until it's gone. Apparently, it had exited it's enclosure and was loose in the house, They never found it.
I'm hoping to hit some op shops next week. Haven't been in months but our shops are great for books.
