The third ASX listed shared economy stock, incorporating Cyber Security and VoIP technology

Unlimited, global scalability, with zero CAPEX:

    Award winning:

Norwood beat other finalists such as Amcom, (ASX:AMM) - market cap $750 million, and NEXTDC (ASX:NXT) - market cap $400 million, and Atlassian, to take out the prize.

The award covers the whole field of Internet Communications Technologies, including software, hardware, firmware etc.

The patented software and deployment system cuts roaming costs by endowing a company's own wireless cloud network with roaming capabilities, and re-routs as much call volume as possible to this "turbocharged" private network.

This prevents "leakage" of the call to local GSM networks (third party cellular networks) which is when you get hit with big international roaming charges.

This is also how it increases the security of confidential corporate information transfer, as 3rd party networks are not secure (esp in certain countries with a penchant for spying).
And within 20 minutes the entire setup can be active and working for the corporate customer:

"The fastest enterprise mobility services deployment on the planet!

Voice Continuity has been designed for rapid, pain-free deployment alongside your IP PBX infrastructure.

How fast? Our goal is to have you up and running with Voice Continuity services on employee smartphones within 10-20 minutes of downloading our Voice Continuity Virtual Appliance service platform.

You will find that it is extraordinarily simple to deploy our service, as Voice Continuity automatically deals with needed configuration changes on your IP PBX using our patent-pending InstantDeploy™ technologies.

InstantDeploy automatically builds up a semantic understanding of your voice network’s dial plan and voice routing plan, so that you do not need to spend time and/or money reprogramming your IP PBX infrastructure to accommodate our service.

Thanks to this semantic knowledge, the routing changes needed for individual users are carefully and automatically applied to your IP PBX environment, with no external intervention needed.

Furthermore, if you change your IP PBX settings for whatever reason, Voice Continuity seamlessly adapts to the new configuration changes."

Absolute must listen, 7 very pleasant and easy minutes with the CEO, aiming realistically for $1 billion per annum revenues.

    Since this interview was recorded...

CORONA corporate clientele has been growing at 500% per MONTH.

iiNet is already a customer... sounds similar to TPG being one of CVT's first customers.
    Regarding growth:
I take it to mean uptake growth as in growth of the number of corporations using the platform ( many of these may be trialling it, others are paying customers)

Corporate clientele are only billed once proven savings have been achieved - that's the revenue model.

iiNet is a paying customer - as in they are using the platform and will pay Norwood at the end of whatever cycle they are on based on how much they have saved.

Similar to the very successful No Win / No Fee method of Slater & Gordon and other law firms.

A proven model to increase sales - known in marketing circles as "risk reversal"... the company, not the customer, assumes the risk.

"What does it cost you to deploy CORONA™ in your organisation?

Firstly, we charge you nothing for the initial deployment, configuration and ongoing support of our service across an unlimited number of offices, which you can pilot at no charge for 30 days.

We only charge you for the ongoing use of the service, at the conclusion of your pilot.

Our approach is to take our fee as a percentage of the savings we have realised for your organisation, so you will be seeing significant savings with each user subscribed to our CORONA service.

Typically savings as high as 80% can be realised.

Key features of our core CORONA service plan:
    • No up-front monthly fee per user
    • International roaming calls made and received when user is not in their home country: USD 0.45 per minute‡*
    • This rate will deliver you up 80% savings on calls made through CORONA, compared to the best prevailing rate for international roaming calling from your mainstream national carrier.
    • This plan saves you between USD 50¢ to $4 per call minute when roaming"

    "Norwood Highlights"

CORONA delivers superior call reliability compared to ‘vanilla’ Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services currently available in the market such as Skype and Viber.

This is achieved through Norwood’s patent pending Dynamic Voice Path Optimisation (DVPO) technology.

Early adopters include representatives from six S&P/ASX 200 companies as well as other global financial institutions, professional service providers, engineering and energy companies.

High margin service offering – Norwood’s CORONA platform seamlessly connects its clients’ end-users to
nearby landline telephony networks at an average cost of only 1% of average prevailing international roaming rates.

Norwood has signed its first ‘white label’ reseller agreement with Progility Group, an AIM quoted communication systems integration business, with sales presence on five continents.
Norwood is even a data security company as well, just like IWG and CVT:

CORONA delivers additional benefits beyond the simple reduction of international roaming expenses.

    Improvements in security

Modern desktop computers are now powerful enough to break the A5/1 ciphers used in the GSM protocol within a reasonable timeframe.

CORONA provides a neat solution to this – namely by routing cell phone calls over the organisation’s private voice and data network.

By encrypting and routing the calls over data bearers, rather than using native cellular voice bearers, and by using low-power radio output, CORONA drastically reduces the potential for eavesdropping.

Avoiding the cellular network and leveraging an organisation’s own network puts the corporate customer back in control of securing mission-critical voice traffic for roaming employees.

Like PSY, has high level experience diect from Cisco Systems.

    Russel Jones from Norwood:
"Most recently, Russ was at Cisco Systems where he engaged with firms offering unified communications as a service, telepresence as a service, mobile service and many other businesses to strike strategic alliances with Cisco. He is one of the key individuals that grew Cisco’s mid-market unified communications platform business to over 200% Yr/Yr growth. "
