Interesting method and sounds quite reasonable.
Grandpa wouldn't like the idea of trading in and out of stocks, so will be sticking to buy and hold.
That way there will be no tax implications until sale, at which point I can deduct the tax component.
I guess i can deal with any dividends the same way as you have.
Just to clarify, you say "Commsec will draw a cheque in the childrens names and NOT me as trustee when there is a profitabe sale and we do not reinvest anymore".
So is there provision with Commsec accounts to be "trustee or nominee" and like you said, once they come to maturity, the children will be paid out, not me?
