Redgum has helped us all by clearly setting out the major alternatives facing shareholders at this point. It now appears more likely than not that the proposal will be resoundingly defeated, meaning that the position of those Board members supporting the takeover becomes virtually untenable. The next responsibility of shareholders must therefore be to come up with alternative directors. This may well be a tougher task than defeating the Scheme proposal, but it must be faced, and handled, for the long-term good of the company. We have good examples, such as SRX, and must now seek to emulate their performance.
