Moosey,
I have read reports on this that said at the time MST did seek a trading halt. I am surprised that Lee would have said that the ASX would not grant MST a trading halt. ASX will generally grant a trading halt when ever requested. Certainly a major funding line falling over would have been good cause. I can only assume that ASX would have written to or contacted MST asking if it was in breach of any of the Listing Rules. I suspect that the real reason was, while Lee may have thought it was necessary and I agree although not having the full facts, the directors probably decided against requesting it. This is because they either thought that there was another white knight on the way (maybe ASOF!), or if it went into a trading halt it would have remained suspended, as they could not have satisfied the listing rules.
