Your returns in RIM are outstanding, and you deserve to be happy. SH's are only here to make $$. But this will depend on where you get on/off the bus. SH's who entered at much higher levels could soon end up in negative territory. Their sentiments will differ from yours.
The underlying truth is that RIM's management is in difficulty with the GPR JV debacle. 2 weeks ago we entered into a trading halt, last week it was a suspension with a promise to relist on Tuesday this week. We have not relisted and the Board have not informed its SH's of why. The absence of any updates indicates to me the seriousness of the hole RIM is now in.
Am I unhappy that the Board ignored all calls to desist dealings with the convicted fraudster Giovinazzo? Yes I am, SH's will likely suffer as a result of the Supreme Court of Victoria's intervention in this. There will be a price to pay and heads should roll as a result. I'd expect Board changes to happen at the AGM, if not before. And RIM needs this to happen to move forward.
