Yeah, everything needs to be viewed in the broader context and relative to other investment opportunities.
Imagine someone gave you two choices. Choice #1 offers the opportunity for 1,000% return in 12 months. Choice #2 offers the opportunity for 1,000% return in 15 months. Given that the standard goal is 7%, which would you choose? Well, we'd all prefer the first. But would anyone have trouble settling for the second option? Of course not. :)
Seriously, shareholder lawsuits? Really? I don't know how the courts work in Australia, but I don't think as it stands now you have much of a case. Prior to proving your case, you have to make an actual allegation, which I have yet to see. You want to sue the company itself? I think PW and management could easily make the case that they, more than anyone else, stand to gain from rapid appreciation in SP.
We all want a sure thing. We all want massive, immediate growth. But, objectively, we really don't want that. If this proposition was a sure thing, then the stock would trade over $3. One factor keeps it suck in the 30s -- RISK. It's what keeps others out of this stock and it's also the one factor that will make us all millionaires many times over.
