Narrow minded may have played a part 20 years ago... The system has been designed as an alternative power source where the cost of power generation is uneconomical due to logistical costs of supplying fossil fuels to certain regions across the globe. Desalination component has always been a major part of the ceto design since day dot. With the world becoming more reliant on desal water, it's a reality check for where we will see exponential growth in demand.....IMO
