I would add "frustrated" - the technology, need and technical expertise of the company and it's staff appear to be excellent but we never appear to see a financial return - it's always "jam tomorrow". If Giles had stayed I would have licked my wounds and gone - my current hope is that the two "Jim's" (and also Ian) can fix the mess; I guess it takes time to clean up and turn a university department into a commercial company - they now appear to have the right people I just hope they have the time & money and it's not too late - it all depends on a commercial product this year but that's better than the naive assumption that there is a white night (e.g Veeco, Lumileds) out there ready to re-tool their production line for better equipment - they need a threat (i.e a serious competitor) to do something real and then we shall probably get taken over.
