Maybe "new business opportunity" is a euphemism for "the opportunity to not go broke whilst we wait for something positive to happen".
If the strategy is to buy time to wait for a big deal to be struck before embarking on a cap raising, and QVT are supportive of this, then it is a sound strategy.
Reading between the lines, QVT appear to be prepared to support (ie bankroll) this approach, at least for now.
However, surely their patience must run out eventually, unlike Goldie's enthusiasm which seems boundless.
