Actually, I did not do the Cudeco website, although had some limited input.

Chalea, I will check for inconsistencies in the presenation...they are not my words as you can imagine.

I must admit, it was produced under duress...lol...lost my entire hard drive almost two weeks ago...everything back to December...and of course all current work.
Seems the partial back-ups were not actually working, so I had to go back to the last entire system backup that was done over xmas.

I have done a significant lot of work since then...much o it gone.

Fortunately I coppied a few files over to a couple of 8 gig flash drives prior to sending it off...so did manage to retain some of the most recent (and current) activities.

I basically had a hard disk lock up on me, so sent it and the box to the supplier under warranty...they fixed the problem disk but then promptly went ahead and formatted the file server.

"BY ACCIDENT!!!"

Now have a recovery disk with most of the files on it...some 195,000 of them...all nicely numbered from "File000001 to File195043"

All directory structures lost...cross reference of nested files lost, etc...and the files I have which are not corrupted, are randomly located.

Approaximately 1 in 20 files is unopenable...and virtually every file over 200Mb in size is either damaged or entirely corrupted.

Anyway...in light of this, I was lucky to be able to produce anything actually.

Just got the word back from the disk recovery experts earlier today that apart from recovering a few extra files that have not already been recovered...and fixing some of those that have but are now orrupt...there is little they can actually do for me.

I am somewhat stunned actually.
