It seems that while CNX management is doing all the right things from an operational perspective, they do not have the same level of expertise to create shareholder value in the stock like for example LNC management does. Mr Market seems to ratify this shortcoming of CNX management in his valuation of the stock in recent times. The announcement by CNX management today cannot explain why only CNX was pummelled while LNC was more or less flat.
