BHP management are always discussing the shareholder value to purchasing RIO. Synergies between the two companies and future growth being the main reasons for the merger.
If they believe in the China story, could a share buy back at these prices offer BHP holders value? I know this has been discussed on the OZL thread relating to the cash on hand OZL have.
Any investors interesting on commenting?
