I guess a simple question would be name one other successful small company which does this? Agreed entertainment is an important element for any company however it needs to be considered in the context of the company revenues.
Do you believe this type of excess in the midst of falling revenues and negative operating cash flow is somehow appropriate? It is arrogant and stupid as well as showing a severe lack of judgment.
"People/Business in any walk of life gravitate towards what is perceived to be succesful 'success breeds success' "
Ha! Really? YOU believe companies sign contracts for $10s of millions based on lavish dinners? I wonder how Warren Buffet does it? Do you reckon he does this?
To find out exactly how much AB backs himself he should be asked to forego all salary and receive only equivalent value in options with an exercise price of 50c. That was the price about a year ago and if he truly believes there is no issue.
I am still at a loss on him receiving a $1.2m bonus based on ... what?
Falling revenues?
Lost contracts?
Incomplete finance?
requirement to raise additional funding?
Being audited by your financiers?
Being forced to improve corporate governance?
Qualified accounts?
Pending lawsuits?
Failure to fill Jabiru 2 as boasted?
Seriously - what was the bonus paid for?
