My take on the email is sheer frustration at the circumstances but real hope that this is a fleeting problem, in fact looking back through media reports this exact thing happened last year at this time as well.
The sp is telling the story, heavy hitters have not been hitting the sell button were just drifting lower on rubbish sentiment, like all things in commodity markets, this to will pass.
