I'd actually give a thanks to some of the scientific types here - they gave me just enough to have a glimpse of the potential - not that I fully understood - I just understood enough to keep investigating/investing.
The most influential person in the whole chain of thinking was the guy in the Hocking camp I spoke to back when the CR was being done. Gotta be impressed by someone working for one of the worlds leading consultancy companies who is a qualified doctor and has a postgrad law qualification and has practiced both for a few years prior to becoming a consultant. He confirmed what I thought I was buying into - plenty of risk and plenty of (possible) reward.
